The long overdue big update to Smart Media Cutter is now ready. Available on Windows, Mac and Linux here: Downloads
This is basically a complete rewrite of the software but I think you will find it better in every way than the old version. And I can fill any gaps in functionality pretty soon.
If you notice any bugs or are missing features, please let me know on Discord so I can prioritize fixing those things first.
For Windows, I recommend the Microsoft Store version, but the simple .zip is also there if you prefer that. Just note that the .zip version is unsigned and might complain about “Windows protected your PC” or whatever. This is just how Microsoft pushes developers to use Microsoft Store for distributing software these days.

Local transcripts are faster and more accurate. Vulkan and Metal support makes GPU transcription work across platforms and vendors.
Undo History & Project Files
Project files and full undo history enable working on larger projects with confidence.
Customizable Keyboard Shortcuts
Configure keybinds to match your workflow.
Silence Detection
Fine-tune the silence threshold to automatically find and cut speechless segments. The old premium nag screens have been removed.

- New premium features: cloud transcripts, cloud translations, joiner lists for merging files without recoding
- A ton of fixes to the smartcut algorithm — more correct, faster, and uses less RAM
