Version 0.4 brings with it two significant improvements to the UI and general usability of Smart Media Cutter.
New transcript view functions more like text document, making it easier to edit long documents straight from the transcript. The new transcript UI also has a visualization for which words are marked for cutting. This is something that really should be implemented in the old view as well and I hope to implement it later.
The old speech segment based UI is still available through a button in the top or when you select “only speech segments” instead of doing a full transcription.
New UI in the export view makes it clearer how the different audio tracks are mixed together. It also allows you to apply denoising to only one of the tracks instead of the whole mix. For example if your speech track is separate from the desktop audio capture, it makes sense to apply the denoising only to the speech track.
There are also other small quality of life improvements like crash fixes and such. Get the new version from the downloads page now!
